Our Benefits Are Real!
Updated: Oct 13
If we look after our people, they'll look after yours.
We get told quite a lot that we’re disrupting the sector.
It’s kind, and we’ll happily take it. But it isn’t really why we do what we do.
Disruption is what people see from the outside. What sits underneath is much simpler. If we look after our people, they’ll look after yours.
For too long, our sector has dressed up the basics and called them benefits. There’s the pension you’re legally required to offer, the statutory minimum holiday, and life assurance that few Gen Z will ever give a second thought. All of them get presented as though they’re a gift.
Honestly? We think that’s nonsense.
What we offer instead
We’ve gone the other way, and it applies to everyone in our team, not just leadership.
Healthcare that gets used. Our cover includes dental, optical, physio, mental health support and 24/7 GP access.
Proper time off. Everyone gets 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays. When your job is to be present every day, you need real time to switch off.
Family leave that means something. We offer 12 weeks’ full maternity pay with a phased return to work, and 4 weeks’ full paternity pay. We fund it, not our clients. In a sector where more than 70% of the workforce is female, that isn’t generous. It’s necessary.
Wellbeing with real rewards. Our wellbeing platform rewards healthy habits with real money, not discounts or vouchers dressed up as perks.
Recognition that’s protected. Heart & Hugs is built into our commercials, so recognising our people is never squeezed by cost.
Putting people first is easy to say. Paying for it is a little harder.
We don’t let profit decide how much we invest in our people. We’ve turned that round. Investment drives culture, culture drives retention, and what we save in turnover, recruitment and sickness helps pay for it.
So yes, we’re happy to be called disruptors
But the disruption was never the point. The people were.
